Midorino Chapel, Keisen Christ Church, Ibaraki Pref. Japan
Welcome!   updated Feb. 2018
We would like to become your spiritual family and to assist you in your personal walk with God as much as we can. We believe that God's family is filled with all kinds of people. Our church is filled with people of diverse backgrounds and nationalities. The church uses a blended style of worship and the congregation spans the spectrum of ages, from young to old.

About us
Midorino Chapel is located on the outskirts of Ushiku City in Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan. map(google)

As an outreach of Keisen Christ Chruch located in Yonezawa City Yamagata Prefecture, Midorino Chapel opened its doors for service in November 1984 with Masahiro Okita as the pastor. Keisen Christ Church is affiliated with the Japan Conservative Baptist Association.

The church began with a handful of believers in a small building in the Midorino subdivision of Ushiku. The church grew from that handful of believers to an attendance of about ninety for worship at present. The small building was outgrown and after one expansion at the original site, a larger building was erected in the Onabake area of Ushiku in September 1998. In keeping with the principle that churches should plant churches that in turn plant churches, Midorino Chapel has planted a church in Tsukuba City and Kodaira City. In addition to local work, Midorino Chapel has sent short term teams to Guatemala and Cambodia, as well as the Tohoku area to help with disaster relief efforts. As well as sending short term teams out to do work projects, Midorino Chapel also receives teams from outside Japan, such as Canada, Korea, and the United States, that assist Midorino Chapel in their ministry.
